The MEWA Veterinary Crews participating in King Abdulaziz Camel Festival 2017 have announced that 4638 camel were screened over the first week of the festival. Noteworthy, the Ministry has deployed 40 veterinary crews to the camp sites and points of entry into the festival.
The veterinary crews screened a total of 446 camels at the Camel Auction Entrance. Besides, the mobile veterinary clinics addressed two diseased cases on-site, and provided the proper therapeutic services.
The Ministry stated that the veterinary crews work in four sites: the Festival's tents, Al-Mazayeen Entrance, Camel Auction Entrance, and the Mobile Clinics. The veterinary crews, it is noteworthy, excluded a camel for not undergoing the necessary veterinary screenings.
