The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has participated in the Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia 2024, held in Russia from September 17-19. The Saudi delegation includes representatives from government agencies and the private sector.
The Assistance Deputy for Livestock and Fisheries at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and the Head of the delegation, Dr. Ali Alshaikhi said that the participation aims to support the private sector in expanding fish product exports to global markets, including Russia. The National Livestock & Fisheries Development Program, the Saudi Export Development Authority, the Agricultural Development Fund, and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), were participants.
Dr. Ali Alshaikhi took place at the conference held on the sidelines of the exhibition, where he outlined Saudi Arabia's efforts for the aquaculture sector, the opportunities for foreign investors, and the sector's role in food security sustainable development.
Seafood Expo Russia is the perfect platform to promote new products, equipment, and services. The event connects thousands of businesses from around the world. Among the participants are fishing companies, fish farms, fish processing companies, cargo shipping enterprises, and package equipment producers.
