The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has lifted the temporary ban on the importation of equine species (horses, mules, and donkeys) from Spain. Director-General of the Department of Animal Resource Risk Assessment Dr. Sanad AlHarbi stated that the ban lift was based on the follow-up of the veterinary health conditions in all countries of the world through the website of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), as no new cases of equine infectious anaemia have been reported in Spain within three months since the last case was reported.
