The outbreak of rift valley fever has promoted The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture to temporarily ban the imports of livestock from South Africa."The temporary import ban was imposed after studying the veterinary health conditions in all countries of the world, and the bulletin issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), showing the emergence of the rift valley fever in South Africa," the Director-General of the Department of Animal Resource Risk Assessment Dr. Sanad AlHarbi said.
