His Excellency, Eng. Abdulrahman Alfadley, Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and His Excellency Ibrahim Yumakli, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye, have signed a memorandum of understanding. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration and advance production capabilities in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and water management.
In the memorandum signed today at the Ministry's headquarters, both parties are collaboratively striving to adapt the agriculture sector to climate change. Their joint efforts include developing and introducing technologies in the field of agriculture, the enhancement of the livestock sector, and the reinforcement of plant and animal health.
Furthermore, the MoU aims to ensure the sustainable supply of agricultural products, biotechnology, organic farming, fishery, and aquaculture and develop quality policy in agriculture as well as water management in agriculture and monitoring water pollution.
The memorandum signing aligns with the goals of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, which seeks to boost investments in the environment, water, and agriculture sectors. It aims to exchange experiences, and trade exchange, and strengthen international relations. These efforts are in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
