Al-Fadley: SAGO’s transformation into a General Authority Will Improve Food Security Indicators and Achieve National Objectives

H.E. the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of the Board of the General Food Security Authority (GFSA) Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen AlFadley asserted that the Cabinet's approval to transform the Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) into the General Food Security Authority (GFSA) will contribute to improving food security indicators and achieving the national objectives in the sector and to achieve the goals of Vision 2030.

H.E. AlFadley mentioned that this change is like a watershed moment for supporting national efforts in the food security sector. He also added this development would strengthen the new authority's role in implementing the food security strategy.

Eng. Al-Fadley demonstrated his appreciation and gave thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for issuance of the transformation of the Saudi Grains Organization into the General Food Security Authority.
